I'm a big fan of the Midnight Louie series. With these available on the kindle I am working back through them. I've never gotten to finish the entire series.One thing I like about Ms Douglas is that she captures a very true vision of the topic she writes about. The cat show for instance is well done and reflects the reality of such events instead of over wrought fictions. The Catholic imagery is fascinating to someone who has never been near that religion.

I haven't read this one yet, as I bought the entire series on Midnight Louie, but I know it will live up to my expectations.
Liked the story, and I really like Midnight Louie.
This book was given to me as a gift by friends who know me so well! I really liked reading Louie's side of the story! Something I've always want to hear when reading other cat mysteries. Thanks!
Another feline caper with Midnight Louie and his "little doll," the woman in high heels! Enjoyed the repartee posted by Louie and the well written surprises. On to the next book!
I am a big fan of MIdnight Louie. I am so glad to finally get some of the first books of the series. I started reading the series with the "Cat with an Emerald Eye" but only recently decided to try to accumulate all the books.
I was late in finding these books by about 20 years, but they are so good! The action is quick and Douglas' writing impeccable. I am a little upset by the attitude toward the Catholic church (I am a very devout Catholic and this book was full of quite a bit of misinformation) but I can forgive that because this cat has me hooked!
A visit with Midnight Louie and pals. Temple is learning defensive actions. Louie meets Birman living in the Condo above them.. The Birman tells that large number of cats are in danger. Louie sets out to what she meant. He finds a cat show nearby and a Birman was shaved of its fur. More importantly is a group of rescue cats whose owner is being harassed by strange sounds and noise at night. Temple volunteers to help feed the cats. Matt's background is explained. This book has many turns to keep turning the pages. I was not able to figured out who was doing it until explain.
